Everyone’s been there. You are on you computer, whether it be your laptop or desktop, and you have soooo.. many tabs/windows on your browser or applications open on a whole host of topics that you can’t keep track of them all. That hurts productivity!
Wouldn’t it be great to be able to have multiple desktops so you can organize your “topics or themes” together? Imagine if you will, if you can have many desktops to organize your browser/applications for social communication (e.g. FaceBook, Email, etc.), another desktop for researching cooking recipes, a desktop for finding information on installing a toilet…well…I think you get the idea.
Here is a graphic showing multiple desktops on Windows 11.

With all new modern operating systems for Macintosh, Windows, ChromeOS and Linux, they each have a feature that enables “multiple desktops”. While each implementation has its own features, navigation and “quirks”, they all work reasonably well. It can take a few days to master the multiple desktop feature but its a small amount of effort to curtail the insanity of having to deal with excessive browser tabs and application windows on a single desktop!
